Appliances Test and Tag
All electrical appliances within the workplace needs to be inspected and tested for electrical safety under the New Zealand Standard AS/NZS3760:2010.
Electrical Safety Regulations 2010 outline that any electrical equipment that is connected to the electrical supply by a flexible cord will be deemed to be electrically safe if it has a current tag.
Services

Test and Tag frequency depends on the type of environment and equipment. We recommend the following frequencies:
3 months: building, construction and demolition
6 months: factories, warehouses, production and equipment used for commercial cleaning
12 months: an environment where the equipment/supply cord is prone to flexing or open to abuse
2 yearly: hotels, residential institutions, motels, boarding houses, halls, hostels accommodation houses etc.:
5 yearly: an environment where the equipment/supply cord is not prone to flexing or open to abuse
Hire equipment:
Inspection: prior to hire
Test and Tag: every 3 months
